The family that romps together stays together... Unless someone dies cuz romping is extremely dangerous in my opinion. I take care of too many people that are turned into vegetables because of head injuries. Vent over. We took roo out to one of mine and Jamie's favorite places to go with friends before we became tied down by the love of our lives :) hehe Butcher Jones! We took kelsie up a small hill and let her ride on my lap on the dirt roads. Then we preceded to get out of the car so we could watch daddy take the new truck for a spin up some scary hills. At least roo will have one parent right? Guys romping isn't that horrible if you know what you're doing... But I just get scared easily because I've seen the worst of the worst and those "freak accident" cases so I feel like I have a right to be. I didn't used to be like this, I was wild.

Want this.
Want this. Need this. Gotta have it. My life might not ever be complete unless I find a bench that looks exactly like this for the foot of our bed. If that doesn't sound dramatic enough for you then let me know. It's from target.com and is sold out :( pretty bench. I think I like to decorate a little too much... Which is not easy when you have OCD let me tell you!
Blogs
So I decided blogs are pretty lame when people don't update them... What's the point of even having a blog anyways?! I get so annoyed when I'm trying to blog stalk people and they never post anything. Lame-o's!
Then I realize that I fall into the lame-o category because its been months since I have posted anything. Ooops! Sorry friends that want to know all the juicy details of my life ;)
Details of my week:
-last weekend Jamie and I took a quick trip to six flags for our anniversary while my mom watched Roo for the weekend. Don't get us wrong, we loved the thrill rides but we both decided we're a little over six flags cuz of the long lines and crowds of awkward pple groping each other... For reals though. We both decided a quiet camping trip with roo would be our next vacay of choice :)
- I worked Friday and Jamie went camping with the scouts so instead of catching up on the ton of stuff I have to do I strategically invited Rachel and David over for a "girls night" full of catching up on walking dead while Rachel tried not to throw up. Then I flat out used them to watch my child while I ran to get some late night sushi. Raw please. Mmm love salmon sashimi! Nom nom nom! I love friends that you can do nothing with and still have fun!
- This morning I woke up waaay too early to help take the young women on a hike. I was grumpy on the inside cuz I had to wake up so early on my day off and wake up roo but it turned out to be such a fun time with some awesome girls! Roo was giggling the whole hike because she liked her hiking backpack so much and was such a good girl for being woken up so early and skipping her morning nap. My goal is to start making hiking and other fun fitness stuff a priority on weekends I don't work. Katie let's make this happen! (And everyone else that would like to join us :) )
Less talk and more pics? Ok!

Play dates at Grammie's house
When I'm at work and I get picture messages like these from my mom it makes my whole day better! Kelsie sure is one lucky gal to have a grammie that loves her so much. She loves her grammie play dates while I'm at work. It reminds me of how much I loved getting to go to my grandmas house when I was little :) It makes going to work so much easier!

I Just Wanted You to Know
That I can't stand the smell or taste of most anything that's cherry with very few exceptions and it must be because when I was little I remember having to take a cherry flavored medicine that was HORRIBLE and has resulted in my adulthood phobia of cherries. Which is why I cringed when the guy at the car wash offered me a cherry scented air freshener. I chose the new car one just so you know.
I also wanted to let you know that when I was little I would tell my mom that I was allergic to carrots cuz they made me do this... (and I would proceed to excessive gagging) the funny thing is that lately roo has started gagging whenever she tastes something she doesn't like the taste of ie. carrots. She does it with the first bite of a lot of different foods until she realizes she likes whatever it is she's eating and then decides if she wants more or not. Let's just hope she doesn't learn to spit her food at me which would only be funny I Jamie is feeding her and not me :) I just wanted you to know.

Grateful day número uno
Because apparently I can't think of anything else to blog about these days...
Today I'm grateful for all of my trials and imperfections...
My name is Krissy and I have OCD. I stress out over little things. I'm stubborn. I stalk people on Facebook too much. My house isn't always clean despite my OCD'ness. I find myself unintentionally comparing myself to others too often. I can be the grouchiest to those I love the most. I can't seem to find the desire to prepare an elaborate home cooked dinner every night. Blah blah blah believe me I could go on... But I am grateful for the gospel and that the Savior teaches us that we came to earth so that we could experience these imperfections and trials so that we can overcome them and be stronger. I'm grateful that I am capable of doing hard things. I'm grateful that I have imperfections that help me strive to do better and be better.
The end :)
Let the countdown to turkey day begin!

How NOT to remodel your kitchen..
PS. We really did remodel our kitchen a while back and it looked really cute until friday. So it's Friday afternoon and I had just finished a stressful grocery shopping trip for our camping trip that we were about to leave on that evening. I don't know why I was stressed... I just was. I met Jamie at the house with plans to hurry and pack up so we could head up the mountain ASAP. Luckily he walked in before I did. I just heard "pitter- patter" noises and thought Sammy had somehow snuck into the house... Then we saw the huge puddle of water on the floor and a big dark puddle hanging in the light fixture. Perhaps the best part of the night was watching that nasty puddle fall right on Jamie as he was trying to figure out how to empty it. Hahaha! Good times! Jamie went up into the attic to see if he could find the leak and right after he got done telling me and roo to not stand under it the ceiling collapsed! It was so scary! I thought Jamie had fallen through but he hadn't :) breaking your back twice sure would suck.... Until the ceiling collapsed I had actually considered trying to clean everything up ourselves ( which would have been very unwise especially with how wet everything got) but soon realized I needed to call chelsie's dad. We spent all day Saturday cleaning up all the dust and trying to make our house semi livable. It would be fine if it wasn't 100+ degrees outside and we didn't have a massive hole in our ceiling letting a ton of hot air... Yuck! I also hurt my back moving furniture but I the bright side I got a massage at massage envy and saw the chiropractor all in one weekend! Now for the fun part... We get to wait for the insurance company so we can get it fixed. Guess we won't be putting our house up for sale as soon as we thought. Let the good times roll! Lol
